Video Review
Never Grow Up Capital 7 Films
VHS. 1997
 |
One day this kid from Idaho emailed me and sent some videos (Wasting Time & Friends of Salmon). The following day he came to Hawaii and stayed in my apartment. [ENTER Travis Keller] (Now a BuddyHead Capital Venturist) He and his Capital 7 friends like to make videos, I don't know where the inner strength (power bra) comes from, but they can pull off making 2 videos a year.

Travis visits Hawaii every winter, so one of the videos usually has Hawaii footage. C7's latest release, "Never Grow Up" is no exception, with the likes of Maui habitants, Jason Paine, Poncho Mulder, Chris Cudlip, Ernie Saldivar, and some unknown personality whom I'll name Kimo from here on. Andy (aka Ergo), and I make a few queerball appearances to represent the Oahu toots.
Let's see the show starts with the sequel to Journey to Nowhere, cleverly named Journey to Nowhere 2. Sorry to say when put against the original, the sequel falls short as a journey for a plot. Maybe the book is better, I'm really not sure. Oh wait, honorable mention goes to the chocolate syrup, yes the Bates' would be impressed.

| On to the show which highlights midgets (or should I say 'Dwarfs'), car stunts, rain, and chi...c...k.... wait what the hell, there were no chicks! Yes, I was hoping to see more of the C7 models, but I guess we'll have to wait for Queen C7 to be crowned. |

Back to the stars of the show, Kimo kicks ass at the Maui Skatepark, with smooth banana board carves and turkey nut hair, I liked his part. Editor / Producer / GaffBoy, Travis grinds all kinds of crap, while fellow Edior / Co-Producer, Louie Fountain flips. The Law Enforcement excitement reaches a peak when... [RULE #1] Never give a cop/guard your board. |

Louie takes out the trash (I think I ripped off this caption from somewhere) |

If you look at this sequence long enough, It kinda looks like Jason is holding his hand on this Cab 5-0 revert. |

Back to the show, all elements of a good video are present: skating, enjoyable music, and humor. As with all of C7's Films, Never Grow up is another to add to your collection. As I've said before, get out that little camera, shoot some footage and put it together... It's kinda fun and kinda cool. And in some cases, it can even help you get chicks. [TIP] A good slam section will get you the sympathy poke, so make sure to show off all your battle wounds to your prospective poke.
Um, let's see... as usual the video sells for I think $7, and you can get them directly from Capital Seven (but I don't think they are around anymore), Check out our review on C7's other videos. Oh yeah, if you are going to order the video, give them the secret password "FruitKnobs" for a special discounted price.
