Well, here it is. Our first attempt at exploiting the local skater. This month we found Ian. This is what he had to say as we broke his umbilical tie to his earphones.
50-50: First of all, we're curious if you always wear your walkman when you skate?
Ian Okui: yeah.

50-50: What do you listen to?
IO: Just a mix of rap, rock, and whatever.
50-50: Is it your own mix?
IO: yeah, just from my CD collection.

50-50: So when you bang, do you have a strap-on walkman?
IO: oh no, it's just always in my pocket.
50-50: So you obviously break them, how often do you need to buy 'um?

IO: Once a month.
50-50: What's the best brand?
IO: Sony, cause it's like only 20 bucks.
50-50: Do you use the 'special shock' ones?
IO: Nah, cause they're too big to fit in my pockets.
50-50: So do you keep them after you break 'um?
IO: Toss 'um

IO: Yeah, actually they do.
