To score a perfect 10 in a contest run is to have a flawless sixty seconds of high level skateboarding. This doesn't happen very often. Three judges giving out perfect tens on the same run, NEVER happens.

Robby hip transfer
|
Well on his second qualifying run, Robby Gaskell was on the receiving end of three perfect tens, and I must say, I've never seen such a dominating performance. He was everywhere. HUGE, I mean big as they come backside ollies over the hip ramp, frontside blunts on the quarterpipe, kickflip to fakie on the slant ramp, and alley-oop frontside 360 airs over the hip. How 'bout the vert wall? Yeah, the eleven foot high vert quarterpipe that most people used to do kickturns on, well, Robby straight bitch-slapped backside disasters on the deck, pulled a full-on handplant (not too many guys can do those) and did a backside kickflip near the coping. Completely unfadeable. People literally lost their minds and screamed their heads off when Robby skated.

Other rippers included A'ala Park local Kekoa, "Old School" Brian, Chris Kays, Mike Garcia, Sean Payne and Town & Country's own Tony Guiterrez, to name a few. T&C had a huge product toss, and my man Rob Carlyon sold a stack of ATM boards for twenty bucks apiece.

Everybody was psyched. It was a phenomenal success. Thanks to (T&C and the YMCA Kapahulu Skatepark).
